The private rooms

Several types of private rooms are available, they are perfect for stays alone, as a family or as a couple.

Private rooms with access to shared bathrooms are the most affordable option. They have a unique charm, without ruining you! Three configurations are possible to accommodate one to three people: with two single bunk beds, with a double bed or with a double bed and a single bunk bed.

Private hotel-style rooms with bathrooms offer the most privacy, they accommodate one to five people and you can choose between a room with a large queen bed or a family room with a double bed and 2 to 3 single beds.

A towel and bedding are provided.

The dorms

You have the choice between male, female or mixed dorms, with 4 beds, or large economic dorms with 6 to 12 beds. All have access to shared bathrooms on each floor.

Each dorm room has electronic locks and lockers for your personal belongings (padlocks are available at reception) and the beds are sturdy and comfortable.

A towel and bedding are provided.

Continental breakfast is included.

We are committed to maintaining the historic character and architecture that make up the soul of our Hostel. We are committed to welcoming you with warmth and conviviality: here, it is a bit like home! Enjoy a comfortable lounge area with a library, a spacious communal kitchen, a lively bistro-bar and an interior courtyard during summer.

A full kitchen

The shared kitchen is perfectly equipped to prepare your meals... simple or sophisticated: refrigerator for your supplies, stove, counter oven and microwave, not to mention all the utensils, plates and small equipment necessary.

A pub with beer and games

For your moments of relaxation, the pub, full of character, offers a selection of local beers on tap. It is the ideal place for lively conversations and meetings. At your disposal: board games, pool tables, darts and table football for free.

Lots of extras

Wifi is also free, and a continental breakfast is included for each night. We also offer activities, such as a walking tour of Old Quebec, evenings Jam Sessions and other surprises (registration on site). Washer-dryers are also available on each floor ($).

From what age can we rent a bed in a dorm?

The age requirement to rent a dorm bed or a private room is 18 and over. Persons under the age of 18 are allowed to sleep in a dorm room if accompanied by an adult and the adult person rents the entire dorm.

Is there parking on site?

The Auberge Internationale is located inside the fortifications of the old city and does not have parking. Here are the parking lots (for a fee) less than 5 minutes away on foot: SPAQ at 79, rue Dauphine; SPAQ at 965, rue D'Youville; Parc de l'Esplanade at 60, rue D'Auteuil. Expect to pay around $20 per 24 hours. Parking meters are also in place for street parking, which is chargeable between 9 am and 9 pm.

Are animals accepted?

Only service animals are allowed on site, in private rooms and in common areas, but not in dorms.

Is breakfast included?

A continental breakfast is offered every morning between 7 am and 10 am. You'll find bagels, toast, cereal, fruit, fruit, fruit, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, coffee and tea, juice, jams, peanut butter, and cream cheese.

Can we bring alcohol to the Inn?

Only the consumption of alcoholic drinks in the bistro-bar is allowed. The alcohol license is under the regulations of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec. Any bottle of alcohol coming from outside (not stamped) will be confiscated.

What is the maximum possible length of stay at the Auberge?

Stays of up to 30 days are allowed. The facilities are intended for tourist customers for short stays only.

Are the dorms safe?

Each dormitory is equipped with an electronic lock, of which you and the other occupants only have the key. A locker (which can contain at least one backpack) is assigned to everyone in the room. The locker is locked. We sell locks at the reception.

What are the arrival and departure times?

The rooms and dorms are available from 16:00. The maximum departure time is 11 am. It is possible to put your personal effects in luggage and to use the common areas if you want to arrive earlier or leave later.

Is there an elevator?

The Auberge Internationale is composed of three historic buildings linked together by internal footbridges. Unfortunately we do not have an elevator in the building. You have to take the stairs.

The rooms and dorms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors respectively and the dining room, communal kitchen, and bar are in the basement.

How do I get there?

If you are arriving by bus or train, the nearest station is Quebec City station (terminus Gare du Palais), located at 450, rue de la Gare-du-Palais. It takes about fifteen minutes of walking to get to the Auberge (you have to go up the hill). The 800 bus route can take you to Place D'Youville, a 5-minute walk from the Auberge.

If you are arriving by plane, there is a fixed rate for the trip from the airport to the city center by taxi. Ask your driver when boarding.

Public transportation services in Quebec City are provided by the RTC (Réseau de transport de la Capitale). The www.rtcquebec.ca site and the Nomade app allow you to obtain information in real time and to buy tickets with a credit card.

What is the policy concerning the protection of personal information?

Internal policies and IT settings are in place to protect your personal information and ensure its security. In addition, access to personal information is restricted only to employees who need it to perform their job. This information is not sold or made public and cannot be shared without your consent. However, the latter is implicit in case of emergency if the authorities request it (police officers, paramedics, firemen.) They could also be communicated to the accounting firm responsible for the financial audit and to any government authority upon request.

What is the consent and data collection policy?
